Their owner is planning on going back to college and holding a full time job. She loves these little guys, but knows that her time will be limited. This is one of the main reasons we maintain temporary ownership of our adopted horses. One never knows what tomorrow will bring. This owner and we here at WHINNY don't have to worry about Winnie and Pooh's tomorrow.
In 2011 , WHINNY adopted six of it's horses to wonderful homes. Winnie & Pooh would like to be a success story too. These little guys are not for riding, but Winnie can be trained to pull a cart. Pooh has a slight stifle issue, but managing his weight will keep it less of a problem. Both of these guys have been together for years and must be adopted together. They make excellent companion animals and have been used here at WHINNY for sight horses for our blind mares.
This lovely little pair consists of Winnie & Pooh.
Pooh is approximately five years old , weighs 180 lbs. and stand 9.2 HH .Pooh is a sorrel gelding with lighter mane and tail. He stands well for the farrier ( who has to almost lay down on his belly to trim him) . He has a weak stifle that is aggravated by weight and exercise so he can not be adopted out as a cart pony.
Winnie is approximately 12 years old, weighs 195 lbs and stands 8.3 HH. He is an appaloosa gelding . He stands well for the farrier but is stand-offish and not as loving as Pooh. He has no health issues and can be trained as a cart pony. He and Winnie must be adopted together. The adoption fee is $300.00 for the pair.
