Our annual Trader's Day event has been scheduled in April. We will be holding the Craft Show / Flea Market / Trader's Days at the Perry County Fairgrounds on April 21 from 9am-6pm and April 22 from 9am-3pm. Interested vendors should contact Larry Weaver at 740-987-6075. 10x10 spaces can be rented for $20.00 each. Eligible items include crafts, flea market items. Guns must be safe. No porn or fireworks will be permitted. Committee has the right to ave items removed from the sale. WHINNY or the Perry County Agricultural Society are not to be held responsible for theft and/or accidents. Contract and vendor payment must be submitted by April 1, 2012.

We hope to offer +100 vendors, and we would love to see everyone out shopping during this event! There will certainly be a large variety of items available, just as have been offered in the past.

Bake Sale

Mark this on your calendars! Saturday , February 11th, a sweetheart of a bake sale at Blackers Pharmacy in Crooksville. Anyone who wants to donate some baked goods , buy something sweet for their sweetie, or just satisfy their own sweet tooth, come on down. All proceeds from this fundraiser goes to help WHINNY feed, house and care for horses in need. Pass this along, share it with your friends and help support our cause.

Bob Evans Dine-In

WHINNY will be having another Bob Evans fundraiser in March. I love this one because all you have to do is eat . And who doesn't like to do that! This is still in the planning stages so please keep this in mind. We are hoping to have all three of the Bob Evans Resturaunts in Zanesville participating in the fundraiser for us. I'll update everyone on FB so keep checking back.

We've had so many requests for WHINNY to hold another yard sale, that we have decided to go ahead with one this year. So this is where we need your help WHINNY Warriors. We need donations of any and all gently used and/or new items. Spring cleaning time is a great time to get rid of things you no longer use or need. Contact us on FB or call Mary ,221-9372; Darla 823-2028; Cris,586-8219. You can also FB Aimee Cain, Tonya Cline, Diane Dumaret, Romona Delong and Afton Powell if you have items you want to donate. On Saturday March 3rd, WHINNY will be joining other vendors at the Roseville Community Center for a community yard sale from 10am to 4pm . At that event we will be passing out our Bob Evans vouchers for our March 9th Bob Evans fundraiser. We will also have vendor contracts available for those interested in setting up as a vendor during our Traders Day Weekend in April. Hope to see you there.

Barn Upgrade

We are in the process of collecting supplies and donation to help fund a barn upgrade! We plan to add an addition to the back side of our main barn, to provide a walk-in shelter for the horses during their time out in the pasture. This upgrade will provide shade for the horses throughout the day time, and a break from any rain or winds that occur. Mother nature is not always the easiest on the horses, and at times it is not in the horse's best interest to put them in their stalls. Please help us make this wish a reality! The estimated size with be 12'x25'. This shelter will be similar to the one we have placed in our blind pasture. It is a much needed addition to our facility!
