Doc and his field companion were removed from their location in Morgan County, April 22, 2006.by the Morgan County Humane Society and placed with W.H.I.N.N.Y. Horse Rescue. He is the victim of those who claim to "rescue", but are something much more evil and sinister. At the time of Doc's removal and according to the humane society's attending vet, "The pony had a body score of 2 of 6. He was blind in both eyes and had an infection in the left eye. He also had a head tilt and cranial nerve deficiencies .

Emily Fields celebrated her fourth birthday on August 25, 2007 with a petting zoo and pony rides. And instead of gifts she asked her guests for cash donations for Doc so that she could buy him the items on his wish list.
