In August of 2002, W.H.I.N.N.Y. got its first
horse. Bo was lucky. His family loved him enough to ask
W.H.I.N.N.Y. to find him another good home. It wasn't
too difficult of a job. This 7 year old buckskin was a charmer.
It didn't take long for his charm to work its way into the
heart of his special lady, Crystal. The bond between these two
was immediate and I knew it would be lasting. Crystal spent hours
with Bo. It didn't take Bo long to recognize the sound of her
car coming up the road. He would whinny his hello at her arrival,
and his indignation at her leaving. In
November of 2002, Bo and Crystal became official when
W.H.I.N.N.Y. transferred* ownership of Bo to Crystal. He still
greets her with anxious whinnys and they still spend hours
together. Blaze is the successful
beginning of a happy ending for Bo.
* W.H.I.N.N.Y's policy of transferring
ownership of its horses has been changed. All W.H.I.N.N.Y. horses
adopted hereafter will stay the sole property of W.H.I.N.N.Y. for
the life of the horse.
